ProblemShared has created strong partnerships servicing several NHS, university, and insurer contracts to deliver high quality ADHD and Autism assessments as well as assessments for learning differences. We offer wrap-around care in the form of psychoeducation, prescribing, educational navigation, and therapy sessions all under one roof.
About the role:
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Manager to work alongside the Head of Communications in leading both internal and external communications for our fast-growing, clinically-led healthcare business.
This role is instrumental in shaping our tone of voice, strengthening trust with patients and partners, and ensuring our teams stay connected and informed and therefore experience in External and Internal comms with a patient lens are critical skills.
This role involves close collaboration across marketing, clinical, HR, and leadership teams to ensure all communications embody our values, comply with regulatory standards, and support our business priorities.
Key areas of responsibility:
External Communications
- Develop and deliver strategies to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
- Lead media relations, including press releases and media responses.
- Create engaging content across blogs, social media, newsletters, and patient materials.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all external platforms.
- Monitor and evaluate communications using analytics and media tools.
Internal Communications
- Drive internal engagement through strategic messaging and effective channels.
- Support leadership communications and change initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR and CX teams to enhance employee experience.
- Use insights to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
Regulatory & Crisis Communications
- Ensure communications meet regulatory standards (e.g. CQC, GDPR).
- Lead internal and external communications during incidents or crises.
Stakeholder Communications
- Manage communications with B2B clients, commissioners, and partners.
- Develop case studies and thought leadership content.
- Communicate service impact using compelling, data-driven narratives.
Strategic Leadership
- Own the communications calendar aligned with business goals.
- Advise senior leaders on communication risks and opportunities.
- Lead or coordinate team members and contributors.
- Measure and report on communications performance.
What we are looking for:
Essential
- Proven experience in a communications role, ideally within Healthcare, Healthtech, or a regulated industry.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Experience managing media relations, crisis communications, and brand messaging.
- Ability to translate clinical, technical, or operational information into accessible and engaging content.
Desirable
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC, GDPR, NHS standards).
- Experience in internal communications or employer branding.
- Background in journalism, PR, marketing, or corporate communications.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Mailjet, intranet platforms, and design software.
