Junior QA Engineer
*Please be aware although we are a remote organisation we do require candidates to reside in the UK.*

About the role:
ProblemShared is seeking two Junior QA Engineers to join our engineering team. We are looking for candidates with at least 1 year of hands-on manual testing experience. The ideal candidate will be familiar with executing test cases, reporting defects, and collaborating within an Agile team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a strong foundation in QA who is eager to grow their skills through mentoring and exposure to more advanced practices.

What you'll be doing:
- Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create and execute test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression and exploratory testing.
- Log, track, and retest defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Provide clear and detailed test documentation (test cases, test evidence, defect reports).
- Create and maintain regression test suite
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers during sprint activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.
- Be involved in all Agile ceremonies
What we're looking for:
Must haves:
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals (SDLC, STLC, test types, defect lifecycle).
- Hands-on experience writing, maintaining, and executing test cases.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr.
- Exposure to Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
- ISTQB Foundation certification (or willingness to obtain it).
- Awareness of automation testing concepts (no hands-on required at this stage).
